QUEENS’ RESIDENTIAL CAMPUS (HOSTEL)

(Facility available for girls of class VI onwards)

h Hostel facility for girls is available on the campus itself. The hostel is equipped with all modern amenities and is built to house 70 boarders in its dormitories. Two wardens take care of the day-today affairs.

The hostel mentor ( a firm , affectionate motherly figure) who is a highly experienced senior teacher, plans for the growth and development of the girls including academics , health and fitness , and recreation.

The Principal and Members of the Management take personal interest to offer quality life to the boarders.

The campus consists of well ventilated dormitories with the promise of a comfortable stay in safe hands..

Each hosteller is given a comfortable bed, an independent cupboard for clothes, books, toiletries etc  along with a study table.

The  younger children are helped by didi’s (maid servant) to keep their things in place, to tidy their racks, make their beds, get ready for games, studies, meals and school  etc. Washing and ironing facility is provided by the school for all students.

Boarders are well looked after individually and given personal attention by trained and experienced wardens/house mothers who stay in the hostel with the children day and night.

After-school-study-help as well as special coaching for  competitive examinations  like AIEEE/ CPT/PMT etc is provided by experienced faculty  from outside and in-house. The duration of  coaching is  3 to 4 hours every day .

We ensure personalized counselling to help the children adjust to the demands of the school and hostel life and develop inter personal relationships.

Our experience so far suggests that the desired combination of  regular routine, comfort and  individual attention has brought remarkable changes in our hostellers .

Besides breakfast, lunch and dinner, light and nutritious snack is provided once a day in the evening.

With the regular Indian food, continental, Chinese, south Indian and other types of food are served, to give children a change of taste. Many a times during the year they are even taken to renowned eating joints and restaurants. The school team fee of boarders includes cost of all meals.

hTo take care of general health problem and meet to the medical expenses caused due to injuries etc, it is compulsory for all students to do yearly health check up.

To attend to medial emergencies, the school has the specialists who are available at short notice. The medical information chart, as per the rules and regulations of the school, should be updated in the beginning of every session.

RESIDENTIAL LIFE

Exercises in the morning  and sports in the evening  are a must . On weekdays academics dominates the schedule.  However, ample time is set aside on weekends for fun and relaxation. On weekends students  enjoy inter-dorm activities, competitions and outings etc.

Feedback Hostel

" I am Shweta Jain from Mehroli, Rajasthan. I joined Queens’ as a boarder in the year 2010, in class XI. Initially I was quite anxious and missed home. But the facilities and security made me comfortable. I found the wardens approachable. The academic help given to all the students definitely played a great role in settling them down. After spending a year, I feel that Queens is my second home ! "
